Fantasy Final

Last weekend marked the end of both the MLS regular season and the MLS fantasy season. With today's final points adjustments, we can announce this year's winners.

Congratulations Nekid FC!  Rob Martin's team is this year's Sounder@Heart Classic League champion.  Rob's 2,598 points held off Paul V's -Eternal- team that finished the season 30 points back at 2,568.  minisoccertime, Sorry Great Clips and Sir Meowly rounded out the S@H Top 5.  Well done everyone.  It's also worth noting that both Rob and Paul finished in the Top 10 of the overall MLS Fantasy standings.  Rob finished fourth overall and was only 12 points out of first place.

Over in the Sounder@Heart Contributors Head to Head league we had two different winners.  Randy Meeker's Friberg Tacos FC record of 23-0-8 won the Shield by 5 points over Josh's Beast With 18 Backs.  But unfortunately for them they both fell in the Semi-Final round of the league playoffs.  My Blacksmith Abbey team took the Cup with a four point win in the Final over Andrew Tingkang's #DempseyWatch.  It all came down to the final game of the regular season and I am just glad that Bradley Wright Phillips didn't score a hat trick.  For what it's worth, my team also had the highest point total of the Contributors in the S@H Classic League where I finished a modest 90th.

This season's MLS fantasy season may be done but there are still opportunities to play fantasy soccer through the offseason.  First, MLS has created a fantasy game specifically for the playoffs called MLS Playoff Pick Em league. It's a fantasy bracket challenge similar to the game they ran for the World Cup.  There is still time to pick your brackets at http://bracket.mlssoccer.com.

And for those of you who follow the EPL.  The Never Yacht Alone fantasy league is in full swing.  Tyler Helbach's #EBFG# team currently leads the standings with Schlep Jurgensson's Mo Leceister in second place.  My team did a resounding face plant right out of the gate and currently sits down near the relegation zone in 25th place.

Thanks to everyone for playing.  I hope that you had as much fun playing as I did.
