Sounders to face FC Dallas in Western Conference Semis

After FC Dallas beat Vancouver 2-1 Seattle's path to the Western Conference Final is now complete.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

It was a big win for FC Dallas the playoff path for Seattle Sounders FC is now known. On Sunday the 2nd of November the two sides will play their first match of the two-leg series at 6 PM. That game will be on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, TSN, 97.3 FM and ESPN Deportes 1490. The return leg will take place on Monday the 10th.

Away goals will decide the match in the event of a regulation tie. If at the end of 180 minutes of play the aggregate score is tied and away goals are equal Sounders FC will host 30 minutes of Extra Time. Away goals will no longer have extra value. If the score is still tied the series will be decided by penalties.

Dallas won due to an early goal by Tesho and a late goal from Michel. That goal was due to a questionable PK call. Michel nailed the penalty.

FCD earned 54 points and was 4th in the West with their 16-12-6 +10 record. On the season the Seattle edged Dallas 2-1-0 +0, with the only loss coming in late September. The regular season series featured two games in Frisco where Sounders FC scored four goals on the year.
