If you don't enjoy watching Marco Pappa play, there's seriously something wrong with you. Sure, he makes the game a little more complicated than it needs to be at times, but we're also rewarded with moments like the one in Sunday's game. Not only was he alert enough to pull up from Clint Dempsey's back-heel feed in order to allow a defender and goalkeeper to go to ground, but then he had the presence of mind to chip his shot ever so perfectly.
It might not have the blind athleticism that it took to score some of the other nominated goals this week, but it was easily the one that was the prettiest to watch and the most fun to see. We've helped send a lot of Sounders to Goal of the Week victories, but rarely have they been more deserving than this one. Absolutely sublime work by Pappa and Dempsey. It would be a real shame if it's not in the running for Goal of the Year. Vote here to make sure that happens.
