It won't feel quite like a home game, but the Seattle Sounders will have no shortage of support when they head to Southern California for the first leg of the Western Conference finals against the LA Galaxy on Sunday. The Sounders have sold out their allotment of tickets and will apparently have about 700 fans cheering them on.
Seven hundred. See you soon, LA.— EmeraldCitySupporter (@WeAreECS) November 19, 2014
Of those 700 tickets, 550 were sold through ECS, while the other 150 or so were distributed through the team. While that's only about half as many fans as the New England Revolution are bringing on the road with them against the New York Red Bulls, Sounders fans will be traveling about four times as far and paying their own way.
To put that into a little added perspective, that's almost as many fans as travel for the Cascadia Cup away matches.
