Lamar Neagle not with Sounders at StubHub Center, dealing with 'personal matter'

It seems the Seattle Sounders just can't catch a break when it comes to player availability for the playoffs. With Osvaldo Alonso's status already in doubt out, now comes word that Lamar Neagle is also likely to miss Sunday's game against the LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Western Conference finals.

Although there's still no word on what, exactly, Neagle is dealing with, Sounder at Heart has confirmed that the Federal Way native was not with the Sounders when they arrived at StubHub Center.

The Sounders recently released this statement: "Lamar Neagle has been given leave by Sounders FC to deal with a serious personal matter and he has the full support of the club. Our thoughts are with Lamar and we look forward to having him back with us in Seattle next week."

That's a significant blow to the Sounders even if their midfielder wasn't going to start. Neagle was the Sounders' third-leading scorer this year with nine goals and nine assists. His goal against the Galaxy in the Sounders' last trip to StubHub Center also kick-started a comeback that resulted in a 2-2 tie.
