Galaxy vs. Sounders lineups: Osvaldo Alonso out, Micheal Azira starts in his place

Turns out Bruce Arena was right, after all. Osvaldo Alonso is not starting and is not even in the 18 for Sunday's game against the LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Western Conference finals. Micheal Azira, who spelled Alonso for the final 30-odd minutes in the the Sounders' last game, was given the starting assignment. Lamar Neagle was also out of the lineup in order to deal with a "personal matter."

Here's the full lineup: Stefan Frei; Deandre Yedlin, Chad Marshall, Zach Scott, Leo Gonzalez; Brad Evans, Gonzalo Pineda, Azira, Marco Pappa; Clint Dempsey, Obafemi Martins. Bench:  Marcus Hahnemann, Jalil Anibaba, Djimi Traore, Chad Barrett, Kenny Cooper, Andy Rose, Cam Weaver.

The Galaxy will counter with what is their first-choice lineup: Jaime Penedo; AJ DeLaGarza, Omar Gonzalez, Tommy Meyer, Robbie Rogers; Stefan Ishizaki, Marcelo Sarvas, Juninho, Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane, Gyasi Zardes.
