Chad Marshall may have rescued Sounders' chances

Losing 1-0 is not the end of the world and while the Seattle Sounders might not be happy about the result, they know this series is basically wide open. They would have been feeling very differently if not for Chad Marshall coming up absolutely huge in stoppage time. Alan Gordon was slipped in behind the Sounders defense and looked to have a one-on-one chance with Stefan Frei. But a heavy first touch allowed Marshall the opportunity to close ground. The Defender of the Year candidate then did what he's been doing all year, blocking Gordon's shot and sending it over the crossbar.
