Seattle Sounders FC is working to eliminate selling season tickets to known scalpers and brokers in General Admission. That means less complaining about flags and more of the Emerald City Supporters in the Brougham End. At its End of Season Party ECS announced that their members would get priority to replace those who were profiting off of passion.
ECS is most known for its enormous tifo, but their more standard gameday activities tend to frustrate fans that are not members - constant chanting, flag waving and vibrant bouncing are not the norms within American sport. Those that go into GA without respect for that atmosphere (and brokers have no reason to share any warning to the one-time purchaser) tend to complain about the sections' behavior.
Next year that should change a bit due to the announcement that the team is working with ECS to replace those brokers with supporters. Tickets are now available to members in both upper and lower GA. If you are not already on their list, head to WeAreECS join and enter to get on the waiting list.
