Sounders pass during Re-Entry Draft Phase Two

Josh Ford goes to Orlando City SC. Tristan Bowen is off to New England. Hahnemann is in a treehouse. There are now free agents within MLS. Which is kind of weird.

Bakary Soumare is now with the Montreal Impact after being picked first during Re-Entry Draft Stage Two. The Seattle Sounders FC passed.

Orlando City took Josh Ford with the 20th pick where he will start the season as the backup to Donvan Ricketts since Tally Hall is recovering from an injury. Tristan Bowen heads off to the New England Revolution.

San Jose took Marvell Wynne and former Sounder Sanna Nyassi. Attiba Harris heads back to Dallas. Houston took former Sounder Nathan Sturgis as well as Chandler Hoffman.

That ends the week of drafts. Those undrafted are on the list of free agents from within the league That list includes the retiring Marcus Hahnemann. This leaves Sounders FC with only one keeper.

A trade window is now open. The next draft is the SuperDraft (January 15th) for amateur and cheap international talents that the league signs during the offseason. It should be noted that between last season's Re-Entry Draft and the SuperDraft, the Sounders made a bevy of moves. Two league-combines will take place in January as well - the Caribbean Combine on the first weekend in 2015 and the pre-draft combine usually for college talents.

Sounders2 just completed their Vegas Combine but have not announced a single player signing.

The current roster has only 23 players and the depth chart has some clear holes, particularly with the addition of a second team and the loss of Yedlin.
