Major League Soccer's 20th season will begin Friday, March 6. More importantly, your first opportunity to sit stand at CenturyLink to cheer on the Sounders will be that Sunday against the New England Revolution.  If you didn't know what you were doing at 6:30 PM on March 8, you do now.

While Seattle will not be a part of first kick (that's Chicago Fire visiting LA Galaxy), the team has been scheduled to be part of a different first. Fox Sports 1 is beginning their their new MLS broadcast partnership with a double-header on that first Sunday of the season.  The lead-in for the Sounders and Revs will feature Sporting Kansas City hosting the New York Red Bulls (4 PM), which should make for an exciting appetizer match to the main course of Rave Green, and a first run for a new broadcast team.

Also of note: The two expansion teams will face each other to open their MLS adventures. Orlando City SC will host NYCFC at the Citrus Bowl at 2 PM that same Sunday on ESPN2. Clear your calendar for March 8 and enjoy a day of firsts.

MLS is leaking out schedule information slowly, so these are the only 2015 matches currently known. The full schedule should be released in the next week or two. Reports suggest MLS' army of monkeys with abaci and calendars has not produced a problematic-enough schedule yet, but they are feeling close.
