Player Profile: #32 Kevin Parsemain

The Martinique international spent the full season injured, so the promise of a good pre-season was never realized.

Mike Russell

Every year a cult hero appears in Sounder-land. At times this happens because of play in the Reserve League, or the Open Cup, or because the player drinks beers with you after a victory, or because he scores an incredible goal in the preseason. Unfortunately for Kevin Parsemain fans, and the player, his season was eliminated with an ACL injury.

Offense:

We don't know much about Parsemain's ability in the attack besides that he has a quick and willing trigger. He displayed a few moments of good touch as well.

Defense:

Parsemain adds nothing when Seattle loses the ball. Again, this is based of a couple hundred preseason minutes.

Physique:

Kevin does not have a strong build, and is not a speedster, but utilizes enough of his physical tools to probably belong in the gameday 18 when healthy.

Best Case 2015:

Health and a chance. If he can show like he did last year he will be a regular in the 18 and providing the club even more depth upfront. At this time Martinique has no matches announced for 2015 as they did not qualify for the Gold Cup. Expect them to do some friendlies against other French territories. Parsemain will feature and score.

Note: I generally write scouting profiles for players after I see about two hundred minutes of live play. That makes the oft-injured difficult to rate.
