It should be the Seattle Sounders playing in this game. It really should. If there were any justice in the world, we'd be preparing for the biggest moment in Sounders history. But we're not. Instead, all we have is schadenfreude.
OK, that's not entirely true. We have a legitimate reason to be rooting for the New England Revolution in Sunday afternoon's MLS Cup final: Kelyn Rowe.
You may or may not remember this, but Rowe is one of our own. He may have never suited up for the Sounders, but he's a product of Federal Way and very much a Seattle boy. He'll surely be starting and he deserves our support. The Sounders might not win MLS Cup this year, but we can at least feel like we have small part of it. Rowe did, after all, train with the Sounders while he was at UCLA.
So, there you have it: Two reasons to watch the MLS Cup final. Either way: Let's go Revs!
