Miami may end up with the best name in the league

Seattle

Brad Evans talked on a number of subjects yesterday, including the state of the locker room after an offseason of big change. Dave covered that part yesterday, so here's the rest of Brad's topics courtesy of the Seattle Times. Mr. Mayers also got a hold of Marco Pappa for this video segment.

Evans wasn't the only one talking about team chemistry this week; Matt Gaschk got a hold of Osvaldo Alonso, who it seems suffered from a lack of team "harmony" in 2013. The more I hear, the more I think things were really bad last season.

Clint Dempsey's stint with Fulham hasn't gone well. That, unfortunately, isn't news anymore. While Clint has found his fitness, the state of Fulham at their point in the season has Sigi thinking about bringing Dempsey back to Seattle early.

Good news for local speakers of Español, as ESPN Deportes will be broadcasting all Sounders matches throughout the 2014 season.

MLS

There are some really terrific team names in MLS. Outside of Seattle, I'm quite partial to the Whitecaps and Fire. If the rumors are true though, David Beckham's Miami team may leapfrog everyone with the name "Miami Vice".

Those Vancouver Whitecaps have had a strange three years in the league. Now is as good a time as any for them to take a look back at the roster from their first MLS match back in 2011 (a match I was in attendance for), because the future isn't looking quite as bright as it did that cold March day. It's especially frustrating to be left in the dust of their Canadian rivals Toronto FC, unable or unwilling to go toe to toe in big signings. Toronto is so signing happy that less than a month away from first kick, they still have more DPs than they have slots.

A word of warning to those of you who like watching matches from the first row: "in 2013 the UFC sued at least one person for watching illegal streams".
