Stefan Frei has already registered two shutouts in three games for the Seattle Sounders. That's not a bad start, obviously. If there were any doubts as to how good he could be, Sunday's win over the Montreal Impact should put those concerns to rest for a bit.
Frei was one of several standout players for the Sounders, making five saves and commanding his box with far more authority than he had in the previous two games.
None of those saves were bigger than his stop of Eric Miller from close range. At the time, the Sounders were still clinging to a 1-0 lead in the first half and a goal there could have dramatically changed things.
I don't know if it was literally the best save of the week, but I think you can vote for him with a clear conscience knowing how big of a moment it was.
