Seattle Sounders FC will not lose their three players until after the match against the Columbus Crew. They will all return prior to the game against Portland Timbers as well. This call will mean that Clint Dempsey, Brad Evans and DeAndre Yedlin miss a few days of training with Seattle. Sigi Schmid said their ability to play against Portland will depend on how much time they play against Mexico.
"As a club, to have three guys representing it with the national team is an honor," Sigi told media after today's practice.
Evans is still recovering from the injury that kept him out of the game against Montreal. Schmid said that Brad has "a good shot" to play this weekend.
"I'm pretty excited to get into the group again," Yedlin said after practice. "I'm excited to work with the guys. I think it will be a good game."
"I'm taking it game by game, camp by camp," Yedlin said. "Hopefully, if I'm well enough that I can get to that point I think that would be great, but you have to take it game by game. If you look too far ahead you start getting caught up in things."
This is DeAndre's second United States camp with the full national team. He played 17 minutes in his only cap so far. Evans has 17 caps. Dempsey is tied for 10th all-time with 102 caps.
Wednesday's game starts at 8 PM and will be on ESPN and Univision Deportes
