The upcoming friendly against Mexico will now only have two Sounders FC players.

Jurgen Klinsmann watched Real Salt Lake blow by Toronto FC last night. When he needed a replacement for the still injured Brad Evans he gave the nod to RSL's RB, Tony Beltran.

DeAndre Yedlin and Clint Dempsey leave today for the mini-camp and the Wednesday (8 PM) friendly against Mexico. Yedlin will now compete for playing time and eyeballs with someone a bit further down the USMNT depth chart. Beltran is 26 with only has 2 caps to DeAndre's single cap. Beltran did help the USA win the 2013 Gold Cup.

Early in the week Sigi Schmid indicated that he thought Evans could be fit for last night's match against the Crew, but in the end Evans did not make the 18.

"Brad wasn't ready to play tonight," Schmid said postgame. "His calf is still bothering him at this point."

The central midfielder will have a couple more days to work towards health before Seattle plays Portland Saturday April 5th.
