The signings keep coming as Seattle Sounder FC announced today that midfielder/right back Micheal Azira is now officially a member of the Rave Green. He joins Alonso, Neagle, Caskey and Sanyang as players that will play with the two sides. He made an appearance for the Ugandan national team in a World Cup Qualifier last year.

Azira is entering his third pro season. While primarily a central midfielder for the Battery he split time as a defensive mid and right back during preseason with Seattle. Micheal played more minutes than any other trialist and totaled 329 minutes of action for both Sounders FC and the Battery.

"Micheal is a versatile midfielder who can play outside back as well," said Sporting Director Chris Henderson in a team press release. "He's a consistent passer and positions himself well defensively. He is very calm on the ball and adds depth to both the midfield and the back four."

In his two seasons with Charleston he won the USL title and netted seven goals. He was expected to be a major part of their 2014. Terms of his contract were not disclosed, but a transfer agreement of some sort may have been required. Azira does have his green card and will not occupy an international slot.

Seattle now has three roster spots open and still has one international slot. This is the fifth move by the team in the past eight days.
