DeAndre Yedlin is about to get paid. Well, not in any kind of currency he can spend on goods and services, but in a way that is probably more important. Yedlin plans to collect on his bet with Colorado Rapids defender Shane O'Neill ahead of Saturday's game.
As you may remember, the two United States national team youngsters created the wager over Twitter ahead of the Super Bowl. If the Denver Broncos had won, Yedlin would have had to eat Rocky Mountain oysters. If the Seahawks won, O'Neil would have to eat geoduck.
"Obviously we know the result," Yedlin said after Monday's light training session.
Yedlin admitted to being very relieved at not having to eat the Denver delicacy and also was quick to note that he isn't planning to eat the Puget Sound mollusk. He also was asking for advice as to the "worst" way to eat geoduck.
*It should be noted that both foods are considered pretty tasty by a fair number of people.
