ECS has made "soccer for all" their cause celebre this season, most notably with their refusal to travel for the Seattle Sounders' away game against the San Jose Earthquakes this summer. This protest has mostly been limited to various online mediums. But with the Sounders hosting the Earthquakes for the first time this season on Saturday, ECS made a more public display of protest with a tifo as explained by an ECS member:
All we are is money to them. 55' cuz that's what SJ is charging for their away prices. $25 for the same ticket here. pic.twitter.com/kZc5WDNc7l

Although ECS has been complaining about away-ticket pricing for a couple years, it came to a head this season when it was revealed that the Earthquakes would be charging Sounders fans $55 to attend their game in August. The reasoning for the pricing was that it is the first even being held at Levi's Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers' new home. Earthquakes president David Kaval got into a heated Twitter exchange with ECS over the pricing early this year.
