Seattle

DeAndre Yedlin and Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman will participate in a Google+ Hangout tomorrow at 1:30 PM PDT.

Obafemi Martins' game-winning golazo was enough to get him on the MLS Team of the Week.

Tacoma

The Tacoma Stars will return to action after going on hiatus last August. The team will participate in the Major Arena Soccer League, which is the result of a merging of teams from the Pro Arena Soccer League and the Major Indoor Soccer League. At least 24 teams from the United States and Mexico will take part in the league's 2014/15 season.

The Stars are owned by former A-League Sounder and Seattle Seadog player Dion Earl. The club's home arena and head coach will be named within the next 2-3 weeks

MLS

David Beckham appears to have abandoned his push to get a stadium built in the Port of Miami, as his top choice is now a boat slip in downtown Miami. While plans to build in the Port drew strong opposition from those affiliated with the cruise lines, this plan seems to be overwhelmingly unpopular with taxpayers, if the comments on the article (which include some soccer fans) are any indication.

US Soccer

Empire of Soccer ran through some of the position battles in the USMNT's pre-World Cup camp, concluding that not only will Yedlin miss the cut on the final roster, but Brad Evans will as well.

USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard thinks this year's team is "slightly better" than the 2010 World Cup team. Landon Donovan probably agrees with that, saying that he isn't a lock to make this year's final roster.

USWNT and Portland Thorns striker Alex Morgan should return to action on June 7th.

England

Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal was confirmed as Manchester United's next manager yesterday morning, becoming the club's first manager that isn't from the British Isles.

After being announced as an assistant on van Gaal's coaching staff, Ryan Giggs wasted no time in making an announcement of his own, confirming that he is ending his playing career.

Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole has confirmed that he is unlikely to return to Stamford Bridge next season.

After meeting with the club's owner, Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert doesn't think the club is likely to be sold in the near future.

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore was given a vote of confidence by the Premier League after emails he sent that were sexist in tone were circulated to the press by Scudamore's temporary personal assistant.

Italy

2013/14 Serie A champion Juventus confirmed that Antonio Conte will remain with the club as its manager for the 2014/15 season. Normally, that would pretty much go without saying, but rumors of tension between Conte and the Juventus board had cast doubt on his future with the club.

Spain

Barcelona confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Gladbach yesterday. The club also named Celta Vigo manager Luís Enrique as the club's new manager. Enrique had previous stops at Roma and Barcelona B. The club also signed Lionel Messi to a new deal.

Gus Johnson and Eric Wynalda will call the UEFA Champions League Final on Fox this Saturday.
