Another game, another last-minute victory. Can we make it six wins in a row? Let's take a look at our chances in Sunday's matchup between the Sounders and New England Revolution.
First, a Few Changes
I made one big change to the graphic. Oba no longer looks like a gremlin. Clint no longer looks like Mr. Clean. And Frei may or may not still look like Roger Levesque and/or Jesse Pinkman and/or Freddie Mercury. You decide.
There are no notable injuries among the top goal-scorers and assist leaders for either team. Moving forward, I will indicate which of these players are out because of red cards or injuries.
Interesting Facts
The Revs have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 home matches. It's nice to see they don't commit a ton of fouls, averaging just 14 per game. Meanwhile, WhoScored.com doesn't believe the Revs have any notable weaknesses -- and identified only one notable strength: protecting the lead. (Let's hope it doesn't come to that ... again)
Nearly one-third (7/22) of the Sounders goals have come in the final 10 minutes of the game.
The Revs are marketing this game as the "first in the East vs. the first in the West." Hmm ... that's a bit of a stretch.
As always, let me know if you have feedback on this graphic.
