Sounder at Heart official World Cup viewing party details

At long last we have a venue and we think it's going to be a lot of fun.

Sounder at Heart will be hosting its first-ever World Cup viewing party. It took a little while to nail down the venue, but we finally have one: Capitol Hill Cider.

After seeing their entry in our Seattle-area World Cup viewing guide, we contacted the management and found them to be extremely accommodating and even excited about the prospect of Sounder at Heart bringing our community to their beautiful establishment for Monday's United States-Ghana game.

They were so excited, in fact, they agreed to open up at 11:30 a.m. for the noon game between Iran and Nigeria. They'll be serving a limited menu for our event -- as even the U.S. game (kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.) is a full two hours before their normal opening hours -- but they have some very good food and an extensive list of ciders and beers. The downstairs pub, where our event will be held, also has a 92-inch projection screen as well as other flat-screens that should make it easy to actually watch the match.

The only downside is that it's a bar, so it's 21+ only. We should also not that the downstairs only holds about 150 people. We have no idea how many of you are planning to attend, but getting there a little early -- both to insure yourself space and find parking -- is probably a good idea. If you do plan to go, we'd really appreciate you RSVP'ing on the Facebook page.

We'll also be updating with details as they come. Hope to see you there.
