MLS Insider turns its focus to the league's influence on USMNT

Twenty-three men will be playing for the United States Men's National Team at this summer's FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Ten of the USMNT's 23 currently play in Major League Soccer and are representing their home--through Club & Country. Kyle Beckerman, Matt Besler, Michael Bradley, Brad Davis, Clint Dempsey, Omar Gonzalez, Nick Rimando, Chris Wondolowski, DeAndre Yedlin, and Graham Zusi sound off on who they'll be playing for in these crucial games.

Like all national teams, the United States is a bit of a stew. Not only does it only feature a handful of players who are teammates at the club level, it also pulls in players from numerous leagues who weren't even raised in the same domestic footballing culture.

The most common influence, though, is MLS which sent 10 players to Brazil. The Seattle Sounders are as well represented as any team, with two players. DeAndre Yedlin and Clint Dempsey will carry the Sounders banner as they prepare to take on Ghana on Monday.
