Sounders v San Jose Earthquakes US Open Cup - Gamethread

Tonight's 7:30 PM match at Starfire is available via stream or Spanish radio.

Jane G Photography

Taking to Fortress Starfire for a chance to advance in the US Open Cup Seattle Sounders FC will face a team with a similar heritage, but without the trophies. The San Jose Earthquakes sit in a season that is nearly lost. They are without an effective goal scorer and one of their top defenders. Unlike Seattle (similar losses) San Jose has little depth.

Both teams are taking the pitch after two weeks with only an Open Cup game. The lineups should be stronger than the typical MLS v MLS match at this stage in the tournament.

Time: 7:30 PM
Local TV: or Sounders FC's YouTube channel (Fletcher)
Spanish Radio:
ESPN Deportes 1490 (Aleman, Mendenez)
