Episode 144: Open Cup Triumph, Jess Fishlock

New, 22 comments

This week we talk about the Sounders win in the Open Cup, the World Cup and spend some time with the Reign's Jess Fishlock.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

After a break for the group stages of the 2014 World Cup, we're back to talk Sounders, Seattle Reign and of course, the World Cup. We break down the Sounders win over San Jose in the US Open Cup and look ahead to the next round against the Portland Timbers. We also spend some time discussing the US Men's National Team advancing to the Round of 16, and various World Cup stories including Luis Suárez.

We're also joined by the Seattle Reign's Jess Fishlock to talk about the teams's success this season, the move to Memorial and more.

An important note: We've had to change the provider that hosts our audio files for the podcast. What this means is a temporary disruption in the show appearing on iTunes and Stitcher. We're working to get this resolved, but it could be a show or two before everything is working correctly again. Until then, you can download the show directly or listen via the embedded player. Apologies for the inconvenience!
