Sometimes being a homer is fun. But sometimes, we just need to face facts. This weeks Save of the Week is one of those times.
As much as I'd like to tell you to stuff the ballot for Stefan Frei's stop of Juan Luis Anangono, I just can't do it with a clear conscience. The reason? Dan Kennedy may have pulled off Save of the Year and denying him this win would also take him out of the running for the bigger award.
What makes Kennedy's double-save so good is that it required to extremely impressive stops. First, he leaps high to his left to keep Landon Donovan off the scoresheet. He then manages to recover in time to block Marcelo Sarvas' wide open header.
So, do what your conscience tells you and go here to cast your vote.
