United States v Belgium World Cup 2014 Round of 16 - Gamethread

In large crowds, small bars, homes and offices Seattle-area soccer fans will be locked in as the USA attempts to match its greatest footballing heights. They will watch on ESPN or Univision (both streaming as well). They will listen on the radio. You will comment here.

With the potential return of Jozy Altidore and fine health for the rest of the Americans they are in some ways better off than Belgium. But the Belgians are also the darling dark horses that sit within their golden generation. Easy isn't really what America does. Instead the United States' path to potential World Cup glory must go through the Red Devils.

They will do so by riding Clint Dempsey, Jermaine Jones, Kyle Beckerman, Fabian Johnson and a hopefully resurgent Michael Bradley. Klinsmann will also need power off the bench and that could lie with Sounder DeAndre Yedlin who when subbed on can play as a second right back switching with Johnson on a moments notice.
