Seattle Sounders midfielder/forward David Estrada has been loaned to the Charlotte Eagles, a USL Pro team, the club announced on Thursday.
It is the second stint this season for Estrada with the Eagles. He was on loan to the team from July 17-19. He logged 135 minutes and notched one goal and on assist over two matches during the stint.
Estrada hasn't seen much time on the pitch at CenturyLink this season. He played for five minutes against D.C. United on June 28. He also played the full 90 minutes in a 5-0 win over PSA Elite in the Open Cup on June 18.
He has struggled to carve out a role with the team this season since establishing himself as a scoring option in the 2012 season. In that season, he notched the third hat trick in franchise history in the home opener against Toronto.
It is the third time total Estrada has been on loan this season. He also spent half of April playing with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the NASL.
