Major Link Soccer - Former Sounder with Possible GOTW

Despite a disappointing result, Seattle sits at the top of the table. Matt Pentz of the Seattle Times offers his impressions of the game.

Marc Burch hit a rocket and Edson Buddle became just the 8th player in MLS to score 100 goals but it still wasn't enough for Colorado. The LA Galaxy keep themselves in the Supporter Shield race with the win. Now riding a five game losing streak, Colorado get a much needed break before their next game on August 30th at Century Link.

The good showing for the MLS in the CONCACAF Champions League continued as D.C. United and the Montreal Impact both won. It was a tough week for Eddie Johnson filled with suspensions and angry tweeting, but hitting the game winner in this one probably helped.

14k is pretty good when you consider the team doesn't start play for another three years.

Canada is set to host the Women's World Cup in just 10 months. Some of the games are scheduled to be played on turf, including BC Place, but the players are not happy about it and they are ready to take legal action if necessary.

Eto'o to the MLS? Perhaps Liverpool is a better fit if Balotelli falls through.

Barcelona will not be making any transfers in 2015 but at least they can be confident their latest big money signing will never do this again.
