Busy soccer week in Seattle, three MLS game recaps with playoff implications, Miami not dead, and a USMNT player on the move.

SEATTLE

Big game for Sounders on Friday and Dempsey should play. They are expecting a lot of traffic because the Mariners are playing at the same time. Depth will be key as they have five matches in 16 days.

No. 10 UW host Uconn and Upenn this weekend.

Seattle University will also host Uconn and Penn. They will honor their 2004 National Championship team on Sunday and that game will be broadcast on www.nscaatv.com/c1821.

MLS

Power Rankings Time! Matt Pentz has Seattle firstMLS.com has Galaxy first, and how about we go with The Oregonian for the tie breaker.

But those rankings were created right before the Galaxy tied the worst team in the league. Landon Donavon had an assist to move within 3 of the MLS assist record currently held by Steve Ralston. But he also had a yellow card and will have to sit out the next game because of accumulation.

It's looking more and more like the supporters shield is going to come down to the Sounders or Galaxy as DC United lost to New York Red Bulls. DC United played with 10 men and as you might imagine Ben Olsen was none too pleased with World Cup referee Matt Geiger.

Vancouver jumped Portland for the last playoff spot as they beat the Earthquakes.

Beckham says, "Miami will happen."

USMNT

Some speculated that Brek Shea got into the US game against Czech Republic to showcase him for a move. He didn't play all that well, but it appears he will be on the move anyway.

Grantland discuses the 2018 prospects for each of the uncapped players that were called into the most recent US game. He is pretty high on all of the players including Jordan Morris.
