Major Link Soccer - A distraction from the Sounders

The expansion priority draft happened, CCL Roundup, Jozy scored, and I turn into a sarcastic jerk.

Nigel Roddis

Usually I would lead off by linking to Sounders game reports from various outlets, but I'm not gonna today and you can't make me.

Hope Solo released a statement.

The MLS conducted the Expansion Priority Draft which is kind of confusing to me, but the coach should probably know what's going on. Orlando will have the first pick for the expansion draft and the SuperDraft. NYCFC will be first in the allocation ranking and then Kreis made a mistake.

A couple former Sounders got the start and Eddie Johnson scored in DC United's win which will put them into the quarterfinals. I really enjoyed Eddie's celebration. Disclaimer: I did not enjoy Eddie's celebration.

Pachuca and Herediano will join DC in the quarterfinals. The Timbers look set to join them, but will likely have to do it without Zakuani. Red Bulls will not after they played to a 0-0 draw.

Here is an American Export Roundup for the mid-week action. Julian Green picked up a knock, and Altidore scored for the first time in 29 games! Sometimes exclamation points can be ambiguous so let me clarify. This particular exclamation point is not related to excitement for Jozy scoring, it's to put emphasis on the fact that someone dedicating their life to scoring goals didn't score one for 29 games!!!!!

Messi got choked.

Man U just gave up 5 goals to Leicester City and I can think of only one person that could help them with that.

Usually when the Sounders lose I do the normal things like curse and kick furniture. I guess that negativity bleeds over to my writing as well, but let's head on over to Norway to try and end this on a slightly more positive note. After coaching the Egyptian National Team, some thought Bob Bradley was going to make his way to Vancouver, but he chose Stabaek and is making his mark in Norway.
