National TV Games:

Sporting KC at New Englang Revolution
Univision Deportes, 4:30 PM Wednesday

Also Toronto FC is at Philadelphia Union at 4:00 PM on MLS Live.  The only other match tonight is the Sounders.  Sounder at Heart has you covered there, so no need to list that but the game is on Joe TV.

With only two games to discuss we will not do a Three Big Storylines, you will have to wait for Friday's main gamethread to see the return of that popular feature.  However there are talking points.

Greg Vanney makes his coaching debut for Toronto FC.  Interestingly enough, Vanney is not an interim manager.  At this point every TFC hire must just be assumed to be interim, I suppose.  The Union and Toronto reverse the fixture on Saturday in Toronto.  I am not going to look it up, but it is safe to assume that Vanney is the first MLS manager to make his debut by playing the Union twice in a row.  That's a record that might never be broken.

New England beat Toronto 3-0 on Saturday prompting Ryan Nelsen's firing.  In that match, Jermaine Jones made his debut for the Revs after #BlindDrawGate happened.  The Revs host Sporting in a match that Sounders fans are cheering for the home team.  Sporting has fallen off the Supporter's Shield race but a little extra cushion is always appreciated.

Enjoy your mid-week Gamethread.
