Judge Dismisses Case Against Hope Solo

Hope Solo's legal troubles are at an end. The case against her, which seems to have been falling apart over the last month, was ended today when Judge Michael Lambo dropped all charges against her.

According to KING's Chris Daniels, the judge in Hope Solo's domestic assault case has dropped all charges against the Reign and USWNT goalkeeper.

There have been hints for weeks that the case was teetering thanks to inconsistent statements from the alleged victims and failure to adhere to deadlines. Today the judge reviewed new depositions taken Thursday from Solo's half-sister and nephew and evidently was unimpressed.

Solo is currently away at a national team training camp in California. The case had put her ability to play for the USWNT in the 2015 World Cup at risk, as there were suggestions that Canada would prevent her from entering the country with a domestic violence conviction. Now she's free to focus on her World Cup preparations as well as preparations for the Reign's season, which kicks off in April.
