Two years ago, the Seattle Sounders hosted Chelsea in a summer friendly. Last year, it was Tottenham Hotspur. This summer? It might be West Ham United.
Good news for West Ham fans in the USA, been informed that the Hammers will visit Seattle in pre-season. More locations to come soon. #WHUFC

While the Hammer don't quite carry the cache of some of the other clubs the Sounders have welcomed to CenturyLink Field over the years, this is not necessarily the kick-and-rush team that so many have come to associated with Sam Allardyce. Just a couple years removed from being promoted back to the EPL -- after finishing 20th in 2010-11 -- West Ham currently sits seventh in the table and is poised for their first top-half finish in the top-division since 2008-09 when they were ninth.
Not only are they playing well, but they're now a fun team to watch. Enner Valencia, who you may remember from his standout performance for Ecuador in the World Cup, has picked up where he left off in Brazil; Diafro Sakho has scored eight goals in 14 games during his first EPL season; and Stewart Downing is enjoying a resurgent season as a playmaker.
