Seattle Sounders FC went with a long-time vet to fill the opening that Ezra Hendickson's transition to Sounders 2 coach. Ante Razov is leaving the LA Galaxy Academy where he was the U18 Head Coach to join the Sounders. He appears to have told his former youth players today.

Razov spent all or part of 15 seasons in MLS with the Galaxy, Fire, Crew, Metrostars and Chivas USA. He hung up his playing shoes in 2010. At the end of his career he was the fourth leading scoring in league history and spent time as a fringe National Team player. He worked his way from coaching LA's U14 side to become the head of their U18s working under former Sounder Peter Vagenas who heads the Galaxy Academy. Like many in Seattle's organization his college time was with UCLA, under Sigi Schmid.
In Seattle's six+ years in the league this would be their most significant addition to the coaching staff. The core of that side of the team is more stable than the players and business operations. They have previously added to their fitness team.
If this is true, it probably is, than Djimi Traore seems likely to be Ezra Hendrickson's assistant with Sounders 2.
