Sure, it was a relatively easy finish. Yes, it was against a third division team in the Taca de Portugal. But it's always nice to see Fredy Montero score. And let's give Montero credit for a strong back post run and a finish that probably looked a little easier than it really was.
Montero now has eight goals in all competitions, three of them in Portugal's version of the U.S. Open Cup where Sporting CP is into the semifinals. They're also in good position to win their 16th title, but their first since 2008, with their stiffest competition at this point being Sporting Braga.
