Vote now: 2015 Seattle Reign Awards

Ride of the Valkyries wants your help identifying the best individual Reign FC performances for the year.

Sounder at Heart / Mike Russell

While it didn't quite end the way we wanted, the 2015 Seattle Reign FC season was a special one. The team won the NWSL Shield for the second season in a row, and made it to the NWSL Finals once again. We welcomed the return of our World Cup champions Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo, and saw a number of breakout performances from Reign FC newcomers.

Relive the incredible season by voting for Ride of the Valkyrie's 2015 Seattle Reign FC awards. Categories include:

  • Defensive Player of the Year: Which player had the greatest impact in a year where the Reign gave up just 21 goals in 20 matches, good for second in the league (just one behind FC Kansas City)?
  • Offensive Player of the Year: The Reign scored a lot of goals this year: 41, to be exact (nine more than second-place team FC Kansas City). Which player was the most critical component of the Reign FC offense?
  • Newcomer of the Year: The Reign brought in some strong talent this season. Which newcomer stood out to you?
  • MVP: This team is loaded with MVP-caliber players. Which player, in your mind, was the most valuable and important to the team?

We'll be sharing your results and reflecting on some of the top moments later this month. So be sure to vote now!
