It should come as no surprise that soccer players look pretty good with their shirts off. Now, the Seattle Sounders are putting those particular assets to good use: To help fight breast cancer.
The Sounders announced on Friday that they are releasing a calendar featuring the likes of Brad Evans, Zach Scott, Lamar Neagle, Chad Barrett, Oniel Fisher and others in various states of undress along with fully clothed breast-cancer survivors. The calendar is being sold for $20 at the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop with all proceeds going to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Seattle, the local affiliate of the American Cancer Society.
The calendar release coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness month and is in support of MLS Works' Soccer Kicks Cancer initiative. You can see some of the outtakes from the shoot here.
"Some may look better in pink than others, but we all recognize the importance of raising awareness and funds to find a cure," Sounders FC Director of Community Outreach Roger Levesque said in a statement.
