Sigi Schmid said after training on Wednesday that the players questionable at the Houston Dynamo last weekend are back in Seattle Sounders training today, including Marco Pappa, Nelson Valdez, and Oniel Fisher. He said that they would wait and see how those players felt before confirming their availability on Sunday, but the trio's full participation today strongly hints that we could see them against Real Salt Lake.
Chad Marshall played his first game on Sunday after his neck injury scare, so with this week's returnees, the squad is nearly full strength for what is probably the first time since the transfer window closed.
Schmid's lack of squad options on Sunday led to Erik Friberg playing as a wide midfielder, a position the player admits he's not even used to playing. The returns of Pappa and Valdez should provide the team the creativity it desperately needs, and Fisher should continue to own left-back if he's available.
