Sounders vs. Real Salt Lake live TV: Streaming, schedule and how to watch

At about 6 PM the Seattle Sounders will know if they have a second season or not. If they beat Real Salt Lake, they will. A loss or a tie, and the Sounders need other results to go their way. Results going their way with a win could mean the Sounders' second season starts with them finishing 2nd in the West and 4th in the Shield standings. That result would meet preseason expectations, but now is a fantasy.

That fantasy must be ignored. On Decision Day the only thing Seattle controls is itself. They face an eliminated RSL side that is poor on the road (4-10-2, -16 GD) and that will be without its defensive leader in midfield (Beckerman). This is the type of match that the Sounders should dominate, kind of like facing KC's B-team or the Dynamo (both 1-1 draws). While momentum would be wonderful, even more important is that opportunity to win trophies. Only victory ensures a chance at the MLS Cup. Victory on Fan Appreciation day is what is expected.
