In all the attention being paid to Erik Friberg's winner on Wednesday, it was pretty easy to overlook the Seattle Sounders' other goals. We know that Clint Dempsey's was mainly the product of an obvious mistake. And there were a lot of people who wanted to discount Nelson Haedo Valdez's goal as simply the product of a miscommunication between Steven Gerrard and Donovan Ricketts.
While that surely played some part, it does a bit of a disservice to just how good of a goal Valdez scored. This LevyFilms video really showcases just how wonderful of a touch Valdez made and is a reminder that he's a very talented player.

The service from Andreas Ivanschitz is just about perfect, as he puts the ball in a no-man's land that is almost impossible to defend. But the real beauty is in Valdez's touch, which he gets with the bottom of his boot. Spectacular.
