Sounders Alliance Council Livethread
After another year close to the mountaintop, the owners and operators of Seattle Sounders FC will take the stage of the Paramount Theater to prop up/defend their record (depending on your point of view).
Season ticket-holders are invited to attend the yearly event, which first took place in 2009 to provide fans and supporters with an avenue to interact with the team and the people behind it. As with every year, owners like Adrian Hanauer, Joe Roth and Drew Carey will be on hand to give their perspective on the past season (though some might be more directly on hand than others). Expected topics include turf, Sounders FC 2, ticket sales, and other "businessy" stuff that doesn't interest everyone but is vital to the success of the club.
This will be a running thread for the event, where I will comment below about the various bits of breaking news. The Q&A is expected to begin at 7:00 p.m. This business meeting is the only event like it in North American sports, so join us for an hour or so this evening and become a little more rave green.
