Sounders vs. FC Dallas Leg One: Community player ratings form

Sounder at Heart / Mike Russell

Yes, the Sounders gave up the dreaded away goal, and looked overwhelmed at times by the speed and youth of FC Dallas. But the older and wiser players in green found a way to hit the back of the net twice and secure the home win needed to have the advantage going into Frisco, TX next week.

This was far from a first-choice lineup, but when you can start Andreas Ivanschitz, Marco Pappa, Obafemi Martins, and Clint Dempsey, you know you at least have the firepower to get on the board. Zach Scott and Andy Rose stepped in admirably for injured players, and Nelson Valdez put in some hard work in his limited minutes.

How did they do? Who should start again in the second leg?

Here's the scale:

Blank - player did not play enough to judge
1 - not a pro (USL/NASL/MLS) quality performance
4 - average USL starter
6 - average MLS starter
9 - MLS All Star
10 - MLS MVP-quality performance
