Major Link Soccer: Thanksgiving Edition

As you eat your turkey, take a look at what MLS players and clubs are currently thankful for.

The MLS Goal of the Year voting is down to the final four, and since all of the Sounders' goals were in one quarter of the bracket, Oba is the only Sounder remaining. I'm sure that our resident goal machine would be thankful for your vote.

MLS

Steven Gerrard is thankful for his last-gas payday from the LA Galaxy, but it seems that he won't stick around much longer and will most likely be retiring after the 2016 season.

Orlando City had a fairly good expansion season ending up just under the red line. While fans of the team seemed fairly thankful for the performances of players like Tally Hall, he is one of eight players who have not had their contracts renewed by the club. Former Sounders goalkeeper Josh Ford is also among this group.

USMNT midfielder Michael Bradley has indicated that would be thankful for an opportunity to get out of Toronto.

At first glance you might think that soccer fans in Chattanooga would be thankful to have their city mentioned by MLS commissioner Don Garber, but the context wasn't exactly flattering and the Don has formally apologized.

The Sacramento Republic will be very thankful if the city votes to approve their plans for an MLS-ready 25,000-seat stadium.
