To simplify things Seattle Sounders could just win today, even a draw would be nice. Sigi Schmid started ten of the eleven that won the home leg 2-1. Nelson Haedo Valdez is the only new entry as he replaces Marco Pappa (nominally on the wing).
Zach Scott remains the captain and leads the backline with Tyrone Mears, Chad Marshall and Oniel Fisher. Seattle will need to count on the defense of Andy Rose and Erik Friberg to make up for the continued loss of Alonso in the middle.
Goalscorers Andreas Ivanschitz and Clint Dempsey are joined by Obafemi Martins in the attack.

And that world-beating @SoundersFC bench: Perkins, Ockford, Azira, Pineda, Roldan, Pappa, Barrett

That bench is largely defensive in nature and offers Sigi plenty of possession options. If they need a late goal Barrett or Pappa will need to offer it.
