Sounder at Heart's off-season plan is great fun

With the season over many will think, "well I don't need to check Sounder at Heart until March." They'd be wrong.

I hate writing this post every year. It means soccer is done. It means that Seattle Sounders FC fell short of their goals. It means no more gathering in Pioneer Square, marching to matches, boom-boom clapping, no more flamethrowers, no end of game processionals.

Instead we have about three months of off-season. Sounder at Heart will fill that hole. We have several staples that will make their return;

  • Offensive/Attacking Player of Year
  • Defensive Player of Year
  • Young Player of Year
  • Moment of Year
  • Player Rankings and subsequent profiles on the 60 or so players that were professional Sounders in 2015
  • SigiIn/SigiOut debate
  • Player retention debate
  • Re-Entry Draft
  • Following Club America as they will be the first opponent of 2016
  • Rumors
  • End of Year Business meeting news
  • Review of S2
  • Tracking Reign players overseas
  • Tracking Academy alum as college wraps up and they have the opportunity to sign
  • World Cup Qualifying with both S2 and first team players

Basically we have a lot of stuff planned for the next three months. This community doesn't end. It is not seasonal. It's here as long as you want it to be.
