Sounders release full preseason schedule, including first day of training

Sounders begin prep on January 22 for their SCCL quarterfinal against Club America

Seattle Sounders FC released their full preseason schedule today, including their first official preseason training session at Starfire Sports on January 22. Sounders will practice at Starfire until January 27, before heading to Tucson for their Desert Friendlies on January 28. After a brief break after camp in Tucson, the team will then head to Walnut, California from Feburary 13-18.

All of this means the Sounders will get about a month of preseason training to prepare for their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Club America. The first leg is Feb. 23 at CenturyLink Field.

Sounders added another Desert Friendly in Tucson, this time against Mexican club Chelaya FC on February 9. In addition, the Sounders will play a match against an unnamed opponent on February 14 and the Los Angeles Galaxy on February 17. Both locations are TBD as of now, but the club will be practicing at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut during this time.

For fans interested in attending, the Emerald City Supporters fan group announced their "First Training" event on Saturday, January 23. Fans interested in welcoming the team back for preseason should meet at Starfire Sports in Tukwila at 10am on January 23.
