Lamar Neagle is definitely still around

It's probably best not to read too much into this, but Lamar Neagle is still doing his offseason training with the Seattle Sounders. At least, that's one takeaway from this video he put out on Instagram:

It should be noted that even when players are traded, they often continue to do offseason training with their old teammates. That would be especially true for a player who lives year-round in the area, as Neagle does.

That said, reporter Niko Moreno happened to recently chat with Neagle, who threw some cold water on rumors that he had been traded to D.C. United.

I was able to chat with Lamar Neagle this morning and he said that as far as he knows his transfer to DC are just rumors. #MLS #Sounders

I was glad to hear from Lamar has all his focus on Sounders and getting back on the field. He sounds confident he will be here next season

None of this means the rumors are totally false, but it does suggest that a deal is not as done as reports have suggested.
