Beating a PDL team that hasn't even officially started their preseason is not something to get particularly excited about. Still, whenever you beat someone 6-0, as the Seattle Sounders did against FC Tucson on Wednesday, there's at least cause to look back on it reasonably fondly.
The highlights show the Sounders' finishing was pretty close to midseason form. That's obviously good. Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins were doing their thing, which was also good. Kevin Parsemain appears poised to have another outstanding preseason, which is neat, too. Aside from a couple notable mistakes by Tyrone Mears, Brad Evans and Stefan Frei, the defense was also reasonably stout. Generally speaking, there wasn't much to be too concerned over.
Given all that, just allow yourself to enjoy this and look forward to the next match.
