Sounders vs. New England Revolution live online: Streaming, schedule and how to watch online

Two favorites for MLS Cup success face off in tonight's Desert Diamond Cup contest.

In a match that you will watch again in just 11 days (barring a work stoppage), Seattle Sounders FC face off against another MLS Cup favorite - the New England Revolution. Sean Okoli and Tristan Bowen could both see time against their former club.

Tonight's set of matches will determine seeding for Saturday's placement games. Seattle can finish as high as 1st and compete for the Desert Diamond Cup. They could also finish as low as 6th. The DDC will make certain that teams which already played each other in the tournament.

What to Watch:

  • Another odd lineup - Will Sigi Schmid trot out another non-traditional lineup as he learns more about a team that is rather stable? Last match was a 3-5-2, could this be a return of a 4-3-3?
  • Roldan and Kovar - two youth players who are getting longish runs in the preseason. There will not be enough games for every player to a significant run. Both look to fit needed roles within the 1st team's 18. How will they fare against another top team in MLS?
  • Hail Hydra - Cooper (3), Neagle (3), Dempsey (2), Parsemain (2), Martins, Barrett, Azira, Pappa, and Mansaray all have goals during preseason. Who notches their preseason belt tonight?
  • Defense - Seattle is not holding teams scoreless in preseason. It would be nice to keep an attack with Fagundez, Agudelo, Bunbury, Davies, etc off the board.
